Still very early days, I started this project to get myself to finally learn blueprints, which has been going much better than expected and the game is morphing into something more serious. I'm still finding out what the core gameplay will be, but Im expecting it to be more physics base puzzles rather than just bombing pigs the whole time. I have to force myself to only work on gameplay for now and not work on visuals.. but that will come once I'm happy with the core gameplay

I'm developing an indie game where you explore landscapes as a duck! Its my first time making a game but i work in the industry as an environment artist so i wanted to leverage my skills and make a game that is landscape focused. Its going to be a fun cozy physics based puzzle game with a bit of tactical bombing! let me know what you think or if you have any ideas. Thanks

While spending my free time learning Unreal Engine and brainstorming game ideas I've decided to create mini game teaser trailers for possible games. This lets me explore the visual style and learn new parts of the engine while creating something I can present to the public to gauge audience interest. So if your interested in the game idea please like, subscribe and leave a comment.

[Ai] ART IS DEAD: LONG LIVE ART: DENIAL- 01

I made a post on artstation a while ago exploring the possibilities of Ai generated art through images around the 5 stages of grief. I expressed my saddness at what this means for Art and artists but also hope and excitement for the future rebirth of Art.

It received a lot more attention than I expected both positive and negative, but as is often the case the negative weighs most heavily on the psyche and I was a bit taken a back by the vitriol and personal attacks especially from community leaders and colleagues, that I love and respect. I can understand their fear and resentment towards this new technology as it is truly terrifying and will undoubtedly cause chaos in the commercial art industry, but this is true of all technology breakthroughs. (We can only imagine the millions of jobs that fusion power will make obsolete.) But I don't think its really acceptable for experienced artists to be whipping up so much fear, anxiety and anger in the younger generations or to be normalising bullying and demeaning behavior. Its not ok, work through your grief and accept that Ai art is here and yes it will change the landscape of commercial art but we can only move forward and help to steer its use in a positive direction.

So yes I am embracing Ai art and moving forward into the unknown future.

Many thanks to hero's gone before: Dean Cornwell, Frank Frazetta, Ilya Repin, William Waterhouse, Howard Pyle

This started out as a SpeeTree learning exercise that was later used in quick 2 hour render challenge to make a forest image. Lots of quixel assets and instances of the same tree in the background. Went through lots of different light options after rendering the image for the 2 hour challenge, which...
