๐ŸŒŸ Coming to TAHI this September. ๐ŸŒŸ

The full programme drops late July! In the meantime, we'll be giving you a first look at some of the incredible artists and performances coming to TAHI 2026.

๐ŸŽธ Party Girl
Created and performed by Lucy Heffernan

In this rock nโ€™ roll monologue, all the glitzy hell of a kids birthday party explodes out on stage to challenge traditional feminine behaviour.

Set in the suburbs of Sydney, ๐Ÿงš Sprinkles tells the story of life as a fairy, and the rules she is expected to follow. As Sprinkles shares anecdotes both hilarious and cringe-worthy about parties gone wrong, her personal life comes crashing down around her as her mother has a psychotic episode, and the unicorn party from hell is unleashed.

A story about love and faith, Party Girl is an intimate, funny, brutal, and deeply moving work that speaks (and sings) directly to the audience.

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ $4,500 RAISED! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

We're thrilled to share that we've raised an incredible $4,500 towards the development season of MOTHERED.

To the generous people who donated, shared and championed the project, thank you! Your support has helped bring this next stage of MOTHERED to life.

Independent theatre doesn't happen in isolation. It happens because of communities of people who believe in new work, back artists, and invest in the stories they want to see on our stages.

We're SO grateful to have that support behind us. โค๏ธ

Tick. Tock. Clock. THREE HOURS LEFT to donate to our BOOSTed campaign.
96%. So Close! So many generous supporters.

This September, TAHI will present the first reading of a new work called MOTHERED - a collection of monologues exploring motherhood in all its complexity. The show brings together stories of mothering, being mothered, choosing not to mother, being unable to mother, and the many ways these experiences shape our lives.

Ko te whaea te takere o te waka
Translation: Mothers are like the hull of a canoe; they are the heart of the family.

"My Mum: Mum radiates joy, curiosity, generosity and aroha all in this one image. Be more like mum :-) I know I try to be."
