We often get calls and emails asking if we frame tapa, to which we always reply, Yes, we do frame tapa!

When hinging tapa cloth - which is made from paper mulberry - we use Japanese-made mulberry paper. The fibres bond well, creating a firm hold for mounting the work.

If you're a regular in our Karori shop, you might be wondering where Gemma has got to. She left us last October to work towards her first solo show at Toi Pōneke Gallery. While we miss her terribly, it's been exciting to see what she's produced.

Featuring a range of drawings, prints, and paintings developed through her soundwalking practice, Gemma's exhibition closes Thursday 5 February, with a live performance.

Toi Pōneke Gallery, 61/69 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro, Wellington. Monday–Friday, 10am–8pm, and weekends, 10am–4pm

We've been enjoying creating some custom spray finishes for our clients.
