The Veiled Isle is coming! This original visual music gig is gonna be on this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as a part of New Zealand Fringe Festival!

Join makers of mystical music, Birdfeeder, on a journey through a shrouded landscape knowable only through the shadows it casts, where the ocean is made of sand, the future is ancient, and the dead rest on shaking ground.

Kia ora,
as a Quirk Collective, we are having a little creative break this New Zealand Fringe Festival, but we are slowly cooking something up, in a pot full of quirkiness, carnival mood, and peculiar puppets, featuring our maestro Joker/Trickster character.

Meanwhile, we would love to share with you a unique incredible performance The Veiled Isle - a live music gig visual album, which Paja Neuhoferova (cofounder of Quirk Collective) is part of!

And what is it? It is a collaboration between Wellington Art-rock band Birdfeeder, featuring amazing musicians and artist Stephanie Cairns Joshua Harris and Marley Te Aniwa with puppeteers and theatre makers Zoe Elizabeth and Pája Neuhöferová, Birdfeeder’s songs will be animated by multi-layered, larger scale shadow puppetry, taking the audience on a dreamy, mesmerising journey. You haven’t seen a live gig or a puppet show like this, ever before!
