#15 There’s a lot you can do when the brief is space-themed...
Our first thought was ‘spaceman’ but it’s surprisingly hard to find a spacesuit that doesn’t look cheap. After hunting far and wide, we landed on building a custom spaceman installation utilising projection mapping, with dynamic visual elements - dials, lights, and gauges.
For the finishing touch, we projected spherical reflections onto the visor so it became round and shiny like glass, with moving stars disappearing into the distance.
The spaceman’s helmet also had a secret. We surprised the client by live-streaming their face into the visor in real time – here’s a clip of me testing it out.
