We bring you the shiniest and noisiest audio experiences, hopefully tickling those hidden parts of your brain meats.

FRI 21 - MOVEMENT
Third Edition: What We Do Is Secret

Movement presents alternative sounds of the 80s and beyond to make you move.

Your host is DJ Matai, known for sets spanning vintage goth, new wave and post-punk. Expect to hear the classic and the obscure. Not only a selector, but a genuine alternative music fanatic, he is also known for running Razored Raw and drumming in bands such as No Sector and Maced.

Joined by guests:

TV DiSKO: plumbs the deeper recesses of the globe for post-punk, dark electro, synth-pop, minimal, cold and dark wave to fill a discerning dance floor.

Coffin Nails: fresh type-A negative blood injected into the Wellington selecting scene, Coffin Nails strikes again for Movement volume 1 edition 3. Coming with them is a breadth of genres, from iconic synth pop to the early days of hiphop, all freshly exhumed from the graves of the 80s.

Fresh off the release of their latest single 'Alligator', Pieces of Molly are heading out a three date rock n roll tour of Aotearoa and will be playing Valhalla on the 22nd of August

IGORRR

For the first time in an ever evolving 21 year history, the explosive and genre defying French act IGORRR at last cast their unclassifiable magic across Aotearoa, New Zealand. Created and spearheaded by French multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre, the IGORRR name has expanded from one man's pseudonym to become a full group identity, which has brought a new level of intensity into the live representations.

Initially influenced by the likes of Meshuggah, Chopin, Cannibal Co**se, Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Taraf De Haidouks And Aphex Twin, traces of these artists can be found littered across IGORRR's discography, but Serre has never been interested in remaining static or merely recycling ideas, and his work has dramatically evolved accordingly. With a truly unique sound blending a multitude of complex layers, Serre excudes total musical freedom by combining all of his disparate tastes into one chaotic, cohesive universe.
