It is with great pride that we share this amazing video of the âShipwrecked Midnight Cabaretâ by Hidden Jem Productions. This show was a labour of love, with countless hours of dedication and hard work, including overcoming challenges and the loss of our dear friend and performer Reuben Joel . This tribute holds a special place in my heart, and I am incredibly proud of the outcome.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who made this show possible. Thank you to my partner Matt Rutledge for his support at my side and in the DJ booth, our MC Stephen Templer for bringing laughter and enthusiasm, performers Hannahboom Lector, Hayfever, Strangely Slimmting, and Naomi Pitcher for their talent, flexibility, brainstorming sessions, trust and ex*****on (nailed it) and ofcourse the spectacular Paul Klaass for his unforgettable big finale` fire show performance, which unfortunately was not captured in this footage.
A special shoutout to the crowd competitors for providing an immense amount of entertainment (you never know what to expect â I see you), the Shipwrecked crew - Tui and Jeremy as performance coordinators, Logan, Lary and Arnim for weaving together this amazing opportunity for us to gather, to step outside of the norm and create an environment where people are able to express themselves fully. Thank you Serena Stevenson and team for capturing the madness and creating this clip. Thank you to all the behind-the-scenes individuals (lighting, sound, stage build and dressing) plus, friends and audiences that supported this us in more ways than we can imagine.
And lastly, a big thank you to myself (in true Snoop Dogg style) for keeping my chin up and continuing to follow my passion in helping provide platforms for artists to showcase their chosen form of art for audiences far and wide. If you enjoyed the show and would like to see it return in future festivals, please like our page Jem Productions and cast a vote via the Shipwrecked page for a potential return in 2025. Let's continue to create magic together!
