Easy listening noise band, Teeth, are back! Comprised of Luke Buda (Phoenix Foundation), Tom Callwood (Phoenix Foundation), Anthony Donaldson (Farewell Spit) and David Long (Teeth). They'll be playing mostly new music as they head towards recording a new album.

Fox Moss is the solo musical venture of the multi-fasceted artist Niamh Woollin, who has celebrated her debut album release, Eternal Veil, a collection of ethereal dungeon synth tracks.

Pyramid Club's Emma Bernard chats to her about the different artforms she uses, and how this project came about, ahead of her show this Saturday at Pyramid Club.

Longtime sonic voyagers Dan Beban and Andy Wright present their new duo, Spirit Level. Plucking notes from the void, Dan employs an electric 12-string through a vintage Italian echo device and two classic NZ amps, creating crystalline layers of shifting harmonies and frozen peals of bell-like melodies that hover over Andy’s playfully intricate summoning of interstellar energy.

Joining them is ritual heaps who makes psychic defence music. Durational synth fortifications from Whanganui/Te Awakairangi “.

Fox Moss 𝔣𝔬𝔵 𖦹 𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔰 has released her debut album Eternal Veil into the world, and is celebrating with an album release alongside Fiunary, Field Enhancement and Pixelotti (VJ)

Fiunary A wasted strain of ancient lovers, refracted echoes of the liminal, forgotten songs for lonely bedrooms. Fiunary is alive, makes music, and will die.

Field Enhancement Sonic and aesthetic inspirations drawn from many genres and styles such as noise, black metal, industrial, techno and ambient. Involves heavily manipulated and distorted textures, arrhythmic drums, covert shadow like synths and surrealist soundscapes.

Pixelotti Combining slinky oscillations, thrumming patterns, and the crackling physicality of handmade animation, Pixelotti (Grace Bella) is a Pākeha artist whose abstract visuals invite the imagination to dance.

Pōneke’s inimitable live ambient outfit The Temple returns to Pyramid Club to celebrate the release of their new EP VVV with support by March Of The Kororā

A celebration, a sound bath, a deep listening ritual, a sanctum of presence. Vastness Vastness Vastness.

The Temple The Temple is Peter Liley Peter Liley (sax), Nathan Carter Nathan Carter (percussion), and Jack Woodbury (electronics). These templars create hypnotic live-ambient soundscapes, drawing inspiration from underground, new age, sound art, and electronic music scenes.

March of the Kororā are a pair of multi-instrumentalists trying to make sense of ecological collapse, injustice and resistance. Their first album, ‘lonely blue penguin on a little blue planet’, is born out of jazz jams, space explorations and rage.

Four Islands, Infinite Interpretations.

New Music Islands explores how we can forge connections across vast geographies while also doing our own thing, here, in our own way. The evening will be presented in two halves. The first 45 minutes feature a New Music Islands programme showcasing selected works from the Faroe Islands, Aotearoa New Zealand, the Canary Islands and Gotland. The second half celebrates the richness and diversity of contemporary music in New Zealand with a selection of works by New Zealand composers.

Featuring performances by Tristan Carter, Jonny Marks Jonny Marks , Erika Grant Erika Grant , Naoto Segawa Naoto Segawa , and Rebecca Steel, with music by Jesse Austin-Stewart, Ruby Solly Ruby Mae Hinepunui Solly , Elliot Vaughan Elliot Vaughan , Ciro Hernández, Lasse Thornin, Weston Olencki, Michelle Scullion, Jessie Leov, Garling Wu and Chris Cree Brown.

Tomorrow, Rāpare (Thurs) August 13 we are excited to welcome Petra Dubach & Mario van Harrik from the Netherlands, bringing their ‘Table Piece for amplified table’ to Pyramid Club. As the name suggests, they explore the sounds made by an amplified table. Their practise works from the notion that movement and sound are identical; without movement (vibration) nothing can be heard.

They will be joined by composer and sound art duo David Long & Amy Jean Barnett
