✨✨✨Artwork Sale✨✨✨
I did the unthinkable and managed to sort out and tidy my entire art space. I discovered a bunch of old prints and artwork that I would like to clear out and make space for new creative goodness.

The prints are from a series of paintings I did when I was living in London. I was very taken with the moody winter scenes created by thick fog that we just don’t seem to get in New Zealand.

The oil paintings are more recent - created for the Kāpiti coast arts trail a few years back.

If you are interested in giving any of these pieces a new home please just flick me a message, happy to post around the country too 😊

My favourite painting to date.

It’s not large, it didn’t take me too long, but it depicts my mother and my daughter, and for that, it is deeply precious to me.
Watching my parents become grandparents has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I knew I wanted to capture some of the many moments they share, and this scene, with the sunlight pouring in, was irresistible for me to paint.

Though it’s a static image - with my mum facing away, and baby’s face is intentionally indistinct, the ambiguity of it makes me feel like it could be any one of the many times they have been in this room, on that floor together. For me, it feels like a collection of memories represented by one painting, and I wonder if that’s a feeling that can be picked up on by another viewer - I’d love to know ❤️

On a technical note, I intended to paint this in a looser style, with the intention of capturing a moment in more fleeting way, but the details got the better of me. I’m happy they did, as I’m so pleased with how it turned out. This is oil paint on board - 20x20cm.

✨Grace & Ross at ✨
A piece for this lovely couple whose live wedding painting I was unable to attend due to my pregnancy.

This painting was done in watercolour & ink using one of the gorgeous ‘s photos as a reference.

Sometimes life just gets in the way of plans - I was so gutted to miss out on live painting for these lovely two, but happy they could still take home an art piece to commemorate their day.
