Cantoris Choir, Wellington

Cantoris Choir, Wellington Sharing the joys of vibrant choral music throughout Wellington and beyond for over 50 years.

Formed in 1970, Cantoris was established as a chamber choir with a strong focus on Early Music. Over the last 40 plus years, Cantoris has explored a diverse repertoire of choral music and broadened its range to include works of all sizes, from a range of genres and eras. Our aim is to bring the joys of live choral music to as wide an audience as possible, so we perform regularly around the Welling

ton region. Sign up to our newsletter to get the latest news from Cantoris (upcoming concerts, reviews, exciting choir news, etc) - www.cantoris.net.nz/newsletter-sign-up.html

This may not be the most choir-specific fundraiser we’ve ever come up with... unless Odysseus was secretly a tenor. Who knows!

But you do get an epic movie, great company, and the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting your favourite local choir, so we’d call that a pretty epic deal.

Experience the cinematic event of the decade: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Holland. Mythical monsters, a whole lotta action, and one very determined hero trying to get home after a slightly delayed trip.

Come for the movie, stay for the community (and maybe argue afterwards about whether the Cyclops could sing bass).

See you there! Link to tickets in our bio🍿✨

Our choristers are not only beautiful singers, but have also been busy perfecting their recipes to bring you.. a bake sale! 🍰

Picture this: you & your whānau, sitting in the pews of a beautiful church, listening to some magical choral music, with a homemade brownie/cookie/ginger slice in one hand and a warm bevvy in the other. What more could one want on first Saturday evening of winter? ❄️🤍
