We’ve had this incredible looking microphone up in the booth for the past couple of weeks and used it on various voices and acoustic guitar. It’s a Kiwara Audio KA-49. The only way I can describe it is that you haven’t really heard mid range on a condenser mic until you’ve heard something like this! It’s an absolute pleasure to use and mix!

Wonderful session with Stormbird in the studio. Recording live to get authentic takes isn’t easy but worth the reward.

10 years ago when we built the studio we upgraded our headphones system to the very latest Avoim. Unfortunately over the past couple of years they’ve started to fail. So I decided to grab some older units as backups and lo and behold they sound louder cleaner and are just a better quality I guess sometimes older is better! So now time to label and set up throughout the studio!
