With great sadness, we regret to inform you that The Afterdark Story Society will no longer be part of the Fringe Festival 2025.

We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown, and while this wasn’t an easy decision, we truly hope to bring it back at a later date.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us—we appreciate you more than we can say!

Meet Patricia

She’s the ever-watchful housekeeper of Afterdark Manor, with a knack for keeping things in line—secrets, schedules, and Mark Afterdark himself. When asked why she chose the job, she smirks and says, ‘I like my homes like I like my men — mysterious, creepy and with a little bit of dirt.’ Her relationship with Mark is just as tangled as the manor’s shadowy halls. Some say she knows his darkest secrets, others whisper she’s the reason some secrets exist at all. One thing’s certain, Patricia keeps everything in its place…

Why are we doing this?

“I love immersive attractions. Escape rooms, themed experiences, video games and of course, theatre.

I’m really interested in producing work which casts the audience into the world of the show. Sweeping an audience away to a different world when they step through the doors of a venue and taking them for a ride and making them feel important, special and included is a thrill.

I love the idea of there being something more than our perceivable world. Pairing that with my interest in immersive experiences makes this a genuine dream project of mine.

Making an audience believe or at least, suspend their disbelief with our performances AND design is a tough challenge that I really want to take on.

This project will be hard, fun and unique.”

*SHOW CANCELLED-BORN AGAIN: 7 RULES FOR SPIRITUAL FREEDOM*

Due to unforeseen circumstances, health and Jayden's girlfriend Nadja having her work visa revoked, we have sadly decided to cancel the NZ Fringe season of our show. To everyone who purchased a ticket or supported us in anyway, we are extremely grateful for you all. Don't give up on us just yet, and keep your eyes open for something later this year. Stay rad. Stay safe.
