Baby set for Morgan's wee bundle 😍
Little brother's Romper by PetiteKnit, Baby Uggs by Autumn Street, and my usual baby hat recipe make up this cute outfit package. The beautiful pale blue green yarn is Knitsch Yarn in Anna's Green 4ply/fingering weight held double and the Grey on the booties is some Ashford Merino in Mist. I added cute little buttons to all the pieces for funsies and to make it even more of a set 💚

I've been a bit slack on posting all the things I've finished so thought I'd better try catch up.
So here is my finished Awen sweater by Meghan Babin in Outlaw Yarn Darkness DK in the colourway A King's Ransom.
This was made for the other half as a snuggly winter sweater and was a challenge to make, but also so rewarding. I found this one to be a little easier to manage than the Saven, but that could be because I've done a few complex cable patterns since I attempted that one a couple of years ago. It was a beautiful pattern to knit, but i did have to make some mods to account for my lower row count than the gauge required.

Claire describes Darkness DK as being "like knitting with marshmallows" on their podcast and I couldn't agree with her more. I'm really looking forward to knitting my purple Dark Sarcasm, and even ordered some more in Infinitely True because they're getting down to the last box of this incredible special edition yarn. Once it's gone, it's gone so if you want to try some, get in quickly!

I wanted to make a cardigan for my mum for her 70th birthday and landed on the Grandpa Cardigan by Joji Locatelli. It was a super quick knit for me - I started on the 9th and finished on the 22nd. I knit this in a custom dyed colourway just for her because her favourite colour is blue on my Hearth DK base to make it extra special. I also sourced some beautiful handmade blue ceramic buttons from Miss Muffet Knits with daisies on them. And best of all it seemed to be a perfect fit! She popped it on when the day cooled down while we were still there and it was so nice to see something I'd made being appreciated and used.

Snowdrift Mittens by Wool and Pine Designs made in Jo Campbell ~ Indie Yarn Dyer Merlin Worsted Merino and linen blend. I had some of this yarn left over from my Three Seasons Cardigan and since these mittens had a similar cable design I decided to use it for them. I thought this would use it up but I still have some left to figure out what to do with.

First time making mittens rather than fingerless gloves to wear while walking my dogs in the winter. They were super quick and easy and I love that I can wear the cuff long or folded up.

Knot to be Missed by Rachel Illsley was a challenge for me. Not because there was anything wrong with the pattern, but because knitting lace when you're tired is not a good idea. This pattern is part of her macrame collection and featured a couple of stitches I'd never tried before.

Nonetheless I'm super stoked with my FO. This knit is made with Yeah Yeah Yarns Sparkle Sock in the colour Sugalite from Caroline's gemstone collection. This one makes me feel super fancy when I wear it, and is fast becoming a work staple 😊✨️💜

This feels like such an achievement to knit a dress in fingering/4ply weight yarn! I made this with my advent for 2025 from the amazing Dye Studio 54 and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with it. Gorgeous autumnal colours in the silver Sparkle Sock base make me feel like a knitstar when wearing this piece.

I used the Luna Tee pattern by Charissa as my starting point, reversed the waist shaping to accommodate my hips and made the sleeves long. There was a fair amount of math involved to get the fade right for the body length and then make sure all the colours were also on the sleeves. I was left with hardly any yarn for the most part. The Japanese short rows under the arms really helped to achieve a great fit. This is a work wardrobe staple for me and I can't get enough of her 💜✨️🍂

Nectar Blanket by Ysolda Teague made in Merino yarn. I chose to do the 4ply/Fingering weight version with 16 hexagons in the colours Duck Egg and Mist.
This was a gift gor a friend who was expecting a little boy, and I've since received a photo of the little guy cuddled up under it looking very cute 😍
This was a labour of love with all the small pieces, a lot of sewing, and a lot of weaving in of ends, but it was worth it in the end!
