Kyah Boothby is born and raised from Whanganui, now living in Te-Whanganui-a-Tara. Growing up, Kyah has always been one for performing. Whether it was making up shows for her family or performing at school, Kyah was at the front with a big smile on her face. Once hitting last year of high school, she got to a point where being onstage wasn’t for her anymore and decided to pursue a career working behind the scenes. Kyah is now in her final year of training at Toi Whakaari, where she is studying a Bachelor of Performing Arts Management with skills she never thought she would gain. Kyah’s interest is in Stage Management. Her goal is to be a Stage Manager who has skills under her belt from all departments.

We opened Eve last night and what an incredible show!

This piece explores how archaic mythology influences the heated conflicts around gender erupting online, in the media, in politics, and around bathrooms. Eve explores the mechanisms and impacts of Gender Essentialism and the beauty in fluidity.

We still have two more shows so make sure you either book your tickets online or rock up to Box office before the show at 7pm. Tickets are Pay what you can.

Tom is a technical and production designer based in Te Whanganui a Tara Wellington. Tom’s recent works include design and operation for Music Portrait of a Humble Disabled Samoan for Aotearoa festival of the arts and Auckland arts festival, technical operating for 2:22 a Ghost story at Circa Theatre, and Technical operating for Modern God with footnotes 2025 and upcoming 2026 Aotearoa tour. This is Tom’s second show with Yaga Arts.
