Sophia is experienced in a wide variety of Performing Styles. Holding accredited achievements in tap, ballet, jazz, ballroom, latin dancing and Musical Theatre Performance and teaching. Sophia is the co-owner of Northern School of Performing Arts, a performing arts company with two spacious locations in Takapuna and the Hibiscus Coast. Although Sophia does love to perform herself she finds her greatest joy and passion is teaching theatre and performing arts to her students. She works with multiple schools across Auckland as well as NSPA and would find herself teaching on average 500 students per week.
Sophia has been involved in the Theatre industry for 20 years and has been involved in many productions performing across New Zealand, some highlights - Godspell (Wellington), Rocky Horror Show - Columbia (Palmerston North), West Side Story - Anita, Chicago - Roxie, Jekyll and Hyde - Lucy, Oliver - Nancy, The Sound of Music - Maria, Rent - Maureen (Auckland) and her favourite to date Eva Peron (Evita)
Sophia has also directed multiple productions and has been was nominated as Best Director at the Northern Area Performance Awards two years running.
Sophia is thrilled to be performing alongside one of her wonderful students Michael and loves sharing stories through Musical Theatre. Enjoy an evening of live entertainment.
