You won’t want to miss Tuara Rahiri taking to the stage once again!

Tuara is a Te Wharekura o Mauao student selected from the SGCNZ VUW National Shakespeare Festival for his school’s scene from The Merry Wives of Windsor and will soon be will be attending the prestigious SGCNZ National Shakespeare Schools Production.

See him performing a 40-minute version of Romeo and Juliet on 2 and 3 of October.

She is a student from Taupo-nui-a-tia College and will be performing in an abridged Twelfth Night on the Wellington stages of Tāwhiri Warehouse and VUW Memorial theatre.

What could be better that a lovely stroll through the Wellington Botanic Gardens surrounded by the wonders of Shakespeare?

Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand is delighted to bring some of Shakespeare’s most sprightly characters to life to help re-enliven the Wellington City Council’s Botanic Garden ki Paekākā for the WCC's Te Wā o te Kōanga Spring Festival.

Enjoy seeing the wandering Puck’s, flittering fairies and odd Bottom and listen to their familiar quips and quotes from Shakespeare’s works. For half an hour from 11.30am and 2.30pm, the characters combine at the Joy Fountain by the Glenmore Street entrance to present ‘exploded’ versions of their quotes into vignettes of his favourite plays. There will be an opportunity for audience participation if you wish!

We are sure this will be a wonderfully delightful event and we hope to see you there on Sunday 20 September from 10am – 3pm.

She is a Carmel College student and will be performing in an abridged version of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ directed by Grace Hoete alongside 14 other NSSP participants and two other performances!
