Reminder: your membership fees for 2026/2027 are due!

Our membership year runs from 30 April to 1 May of the next year, and so it is time to renew your annual membership with the Club.

Your membership subscription of $40 for the 2026/2027 year falls due on 1st May.

Please reach out to a Committee member or email the Secretary if you need to confidentially talk about payment of this fee.

It would be helpful if all members could pay their fees between 1st May and before 20th May 2026.

Join the Croatian Club for an evening with Helena Nuić, a Kiwi-Croatian chef who divides her time between Croatia and NZ. She is launching her second cookbook: Fjaka - Simple recipes to bring the slow pace of the Mediterranean to wherever you are in the world.

There will be a moderated discussion, and audience questions, with treats to follow. Doors open at 5.30pm (tea, coffee and the bar will be available), with the main event from 6.30pm-7.30pm.

This special A Taste of Croatia event is open to anyone with an interest - you don't have to be a member, or of Croatian background! Please RSVP to [email protected] so we know how many people will be there.

Sretan Božić! Looking forward to seeing you all at the Christmas lunch today (and the Mass beforehand at St Anne’s). We had a great team of 9 people at the club yesterday preparing food, and setting up the tables and decorations. Thanks to everyone who has worked on the event, including guests who are bringing dessert 🧁 We have 83 people booked in, which is one of our biggest lunches in a while. Dobar tek!

Help us improve the Language Cafe for 2026!

The last Language Cafe of 2025 was held on Saturday 29 November, so now is a good time to review how the year has gone.

Maja has prepared a Google Form survey (link in the comments) and she would love you to fill it in so the club can improve what we do to support language learning.

If you find Google Forms difficult, then please email Maja or the Club and let her know how often you came along, what was good, what could be improved, what extra language support we could do, your fluency in Croatian, and any other comments.
