Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions making it extremely difficult for the track promoters to run their events, along with the fact that several of our racers, sponsors, TV and Live Stream Crew are all currently in Lockdown, the NZJSA Executive Committee have decided to cancel the 2021/22 PSP New Zealand Jetsprint Championship. It was a hard decision to make but with Covid 19 cases now spreading into the regions the track promoters were uncomfortable with the thought of a covid cluster breaking out from any of their events. The transition from the current Alert Levels to the Traffic Light System is confusing to say the least, when we reach 90% of vaccinated people is uncertain leaving us with no set date for rule and regulation changes. Events don’t happen overnight, they take weeks of preparation and promotion before the gates are opened making the possibility of a sudden lockdown too high a risk for us all. We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision but feel it is the safest option, not only for our racers and our extended jetsprint families but also for you (our supporters), because putting you at risk is the last thing we want to do!

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope to see you again when racing commences for the 2022/23 season.

Unfortunately due to the Covid Level restrictions … and the fact that some of our racers and sponsors are in lockdown .. Round 1 (Hastings) and Round 2 (Featherston, Wairarapa) of the PSP New Zealand Jetsprint Championship have been cancelled. Fingers crossed the PSP NZ Jetsprint Championship can begin in Shelter View Jet Sprint Park - Wanganui on the 27 December 2021 but that too will depend on the Covid Level restrictions at the time.
