Dance West

Dance West Dance West as a ballet school with new purpose built studios. Follows the RAD syllabus for ballet and NZAMD contemporary syllabus.

Children as young as three years old have the ability to learn at their own pace by way of a new and innovative programme by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Children are then encouraged to progress from this stage to the various levels where there is an opportunity to sit exams as arranged by RAD. There is also opportunity for children who have made significant progress to attend private lessons

and participate in competition stage work. Classes are run out of the purpose built Dance West studios on Keeling Road, Henderson. The studio is equipt with barres, mirrors and professional dance flooring. We now also offer NZAMD Contemporary and have classes with Royal New Zealand Ballet Company members

Every year we are blessed when we get Japanese International students join us for a term. This year we had Hana from Nara. It was her last class today with the girls and she’s off home on Saturday to prepare for her dance school concert. Hopefully I can visit her in her home town in a few weeks!

Today was very special for these 4 beauties as they got their first pointe shoes 🥰🥹 they are a class who consistently work hard and together as a team and it was so lovely that they got to experience this moment together.
