Waipawa Spring Festival - has been a CHB Institution since 1995 when the Waipawa Chamber of Commerce held the first fair in Nelly Jull Park and inaugural duck race down the Waipawa River.

Our Make a Duck Competition is back, and we can’t wait to see what you create! Build it, sew it, paint it, sculpt it, craft it from recycled materials or let your imagination run wild. There are no limits when it comes to creating your duck masterpiece!

Don’t forget our Wearable Art section too, dress yourself (or someone else!) in your most duck-inspired creation and join the fun.

Prep is in full swing for this year’s Waipawa Spring Festival, and it’s shaping up to be a big one. We’ve already hit record stall registrations for this time of year, so expect all the fun of the fair and more.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Duck Day without the races…
• 1,900 little yellow ducks hitting the water
• Our much-loved Corporate Race will be back
• The return of the Powered Duck Race (T&Cs apply)
