In this day and age, so much money is wasted on sanitary pads, only to throw that money in the rubbish..literally! By going back to basics and using cloth pads, women are saving money, helping the environment, and re

using a product specifically to their needs. About us and FAQ. What is a cloth pad? It's exactly that, a sanitary pad made from absorbent clothes. The pro's to using a cloth pad are endless. Some examples are the 3 R's for instance. REDUCE: reduce waste products in our landfills. REUSE: Cloth pads can be made from literally any absorbent material from old clothes n(if making your own at home and trying to save), to sheets, towels etc, to buying brand new pretty novelty materials. (We only use brand new materials) RECYCLE: If you no longer need/want your pads they can be broken down in the compost. Unlike a disposable sanitary pad, cloth pads allow your body to breath, don't bunch in the middle (unless you have the wrong size) don't smell (the absorbing material in disposables smell), Don't sweat, don't take years to break down in landfills as they are compostable and are not just used for periods but light bladder leakage, light rectal problems, keeping your underwear fresh and are totally reusable and more importantly for some, they save a ton of money!

So while Im still burning woodwork, making scrunchies and sewing pads, I've also been busy in the kitchen over the last few weeks making the most of the seasonal fruit and vegetables and turning them into delicious jams and chutneys. I love how this time of the year is productive.
Here's some of the delicious flavours I've made so far. If you'd like any, hit me up in my inbox or come see me at market.

Pear, Apple and Cranberry Chutney
Peach Chutney
Mango Chutney
Beetroot Chutney
Orange and Ginger Marmalade
Apricot Jam
Plum Jam
Blackberry Jam

All are $6:00 each and if you need them to be posted I post a minimum of 4 jars of whatever you'd like as that is how many fit in the boxes I have and also works out cheaper postage for you at $10.20.

I've had people ask me why I don't accept paypal or eftpos transactions. The reason is because I make my products as a hobby, not a business. Because my prices are low, it doesn't make it feasible for me to have these options as the amount they charge means I end up selling at a loss. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient but reality is, I just can't afford monthly fees plus the percentage taken from the sales. I hope this answers any questions you might have regarding these options and you will all still support buying from the little people! You can catch me at the Paekakariki Town Hall Market every 1st weekend of the month (beginning in March) and the Waikanae Vaulting and Equestrian Centre (3rd weekend of each month). Look forward to seeing you there!

Come on down and grab yourself a bargain, buy some lunch or have a coffee...we have it all!

Come rain or shine we will be holding the monthly Community Fair at Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre this coming Sunday 10am - 1pm.
The fair is held in the main arena which is underroof so we are able to celebrate our vibrant community regardless of the weather (although the outlook for Sunday is looking good so far... roll on spring😁).

Come along and browse the stalls, grab a barista coffee and some Kai. Pony rides will be available too.

Free parking is on site so drive on in and join us.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
