Small Museums of Southland This is a page for the small, mainly volunteer-run museums of the Southland region (NZ) where they can celebrate their museum and collections.

There are approximately thirty small museums in the Southland region (New Zealand) and the majority of them are run by volunteers whom for decades have been the gatherers and keepers of their community's moveable and immoveable cultural heritage. The purpose of this page is to be a place where they can connect and collectively share and celebrate who they are and what they do to a wider audience.

It's time for another free in conservation!

Today we're featuring twelve tutorial videos on the preventive conservation of archive, library and museum collections, created by the Interministerial Department of the Archives of France (SIAF) and the National Centre for Research and Restoration in French Museums (C2RMF) https://gty.art/4dV6Amv

Now available in English, the videos cover key topics such as managing moldy objects; managing objects infested with insects; emergency preparedness and response; managing environmental conditions; and conservation and transport packaging.
