Hi gamers and collectors

Continuing the PS1.

Monster Rancher

Pricecharting NZD: $69.61

This one has come down a bit since I last looked at it but its still not particularly common or easy to find. This copy was from a bundle I bought off a friend's Mum after we had left college and was the copy we used to play. For a long time it had no front insert but managed to snag one along the way.

Monster Rancher is in my top 5 favorite PS1 games. Using "disc stones" (CDs) you could pull monsters out and train them up with the intention of winning the Major 4 and attaining the Ultimate rank. With some tricky special monsters, expeditions, fights and Ranch upgrades as well as feeding and training your Monster and them dying of old age this game had everything youd want from a Monster raising game.

Did you play this back in the day? Whats the most unexpected Monster you got off a disc you didn't expect?

Hiya gamers and collectors Friday is just around the corner!

What are you playing at the moment?

Ive recently started playing my 2DSXL again and have started playing Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows Of Valentia. I only discovered the Fire Emblem series last year first though Nintendo Switches subscription service (GBA) and then on the Switch (Three Hopes) but its fast becoming a favorite series of mine.

And recommendations on games to collect and play in this series?

Hi gamers and collectors

Continuing the PS1.

Monopoly

Pricecharting NZD: $7.95

The PS1 list continues, we march on but also to prove that not all games in our collection command a huge price. I enjoy monopoly and the monopoly related games so collected this one.

Did your family get through a monoploy game without flipping the table?

Hi gamers and collectors Monday is upon us again!

.... kind of

We had a BL CIB copy of Silent Hill once that we literally Frakensteined together. Disc here, later a front insert there, then a manual elsewhere and then the back insert. I ended up trading it for a few PS1 games we were after I remember Xcom and Suikoden 2 and Wild Arms, I think there was one more.

So then we didn't own a copy. Weve had a disc only in a wallet sitting there. Last event we got some high quality repro inserts off a friend. So now it sits on our shelf once more.. and you really can't tell the difference. Until the next piece of Silent Hill comes in there it will sit!
