✨ Something exciting is coming… ✨

Earlier this year, we were absolutely thrilled to be named the winner in the Arts & Culture category at the 2026 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards for Upper Hutt. 🎭

And recently, we had the very exciting opportunity to take part in filming for the upcoming awards presentation in November… 👀

We can’t say too much just yet, but watch this space!

A huge thank you to our Youth Representative, Sarah Fitzgerald, for stepping up as our spokesperson and representing UHMT so wonderfully! 💙

We’re incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many inspiring organisations and community groups doing amazing things across the Wellington Region

✨ We did it! ✨

Tonight, a number of our committee members had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards – Upper Hutt, and we are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to share that Upper Hutt Musical Theatre has won the Arts & Culture Award! 🏆🎭

Earlier this year, we were honoured to be named a finalist, and to now receive this award is truly humbling.

It's been a privilege to be recognised alongside so many inspiring organisations and community groups that make Upper Hutt such a fantastic place to live, work, and connect. A huge congratulations to all of the finalists and winners; your passion, dedication, and service to our community are something to celebrate.

This award belongs to every one of our incredible members, volunteers, performers, creative teams, supporters, sponsors, audiences, and the wider community who continue to champion local theatre. Thank you for your unwavering commitment, enthusiasm, and belief in what we do. 💙
