Another new artist at the gallery- Lisa Walker. She works from Tokaanu using the natural geothermal waters to prepare and preserve the harakeke (flax) fibres.

She's inspired by the patterns and open weave techniques in raranga weaving to create beautiful and unique pieces.

Come in and discover her work! We're at Shop 5 in Tūrangi mall 🙂

Pihanga Gallery has several new artists so come in and have a look! One of them is Karla Mohi, who travels round Aotearoa collecting sand for her mixed media art. She also makes hand made paper and flax weaving used in her pictures. Truly unique and original art!
