Hands up who’s here for the transformation of this one! 🙋‍♀️💙💚❤️

This one is ready for cutting and then waterproofing. With so much symbolism and meaning woven into the design of this jersey, I want to do my best to honour that as I transform it — preserving the Mana Moana, Mana Whenua and Mana Tāngata throughout the finished bag.

I think this one is going to be pretty special. ❤️💚💙

I absolutely love how much of this jersey made its way into the finished bag — right down to the details on the strap.

For those who are new here, I work on uNiquely Hands Crafted around my full-time job, with most of my creating happening in the evenings and on weekends.

This week I was away at a work conference, so there were no evenings in the cabin… but the sewing machine came with me! 😂🧵 In the evenings I worked on these custom shoes for a returning customer. 👟

Back home now, back in the cabin — let’s see what I can get finished today! 💙💚

I’m away for the next couple of nights at a work conference, so unfortunately this one is going to have to sit patiently on my sewing table until I’m back on Friday.

Then it’s time to put it all together! 🧵

And it’s finished! 💙❤️💚

This one came with a little bit of a challenge. This jersey was given to my customer by the Warriors, but unfortunately the Warriors logo had fallen off over time.

So the challenge was to take what was left and save as many of the original features as I possibly could.

The Premiership badge became the feature on the front, the red and green chevrons wrap around the top, one nz has become the back of the bag, the Puma detail made its way onto the strap, and there is also sky sport tucked away inside.

From one very special jersey to something that can now be carried and enjoyed again. 💙

I am very happy with how this one came together. 🥰

Sunday morning and I couldn’t resist getting back into the cabin early 😂💙

After all that cutting, waterproofing and stitching yesterday, this one is finally starting to look like a bag!

I won’t be spending all day in the cabin today, but I’m hoping I might just get this one across the finish line before the weekend is over 🤞

Eight hours in the cabin and while there’s not a finished bag to show for it, there’s been a LOT of progress 😂

Three bags well underway, everything back in its own box ready for the next stage, and I’m calling it a day.

Same place tomorrow… 😂

It’s Saturday… which means a full day in the cabin! 🧵

I’ve even tidied up a little for you 😂 Although the extra tables are staying — there are jerseys at different stages, waterproofing curing and plenty to get through.
