After eight years, Deciduus Gallery is coming to a close.
✨️
What began as a physical gallery in 2018 became such a significant part of my creative life. I’m incredibly grateful to all the artists I had the privilege of working with, and to everyone who visited, bought work, followed along and supported the gallery.
✨️
The Deciduus online chapter will officially come to an end on 12 September.
✨️
There are still a few works available from our final collections, so if you’ve had your eye on something, this is your last opportunity to purchase through Deciduus.

I’m returning my attention to where it all began — my studio, Cronje Fine Art. Please pop over and follow along on my journey. Cronje Fine Art

I’ve so enjoyed seeing these pieces together, and putting them into a collage has revealed such a beautiful dialogue between the works.

Amongst the Leaves | Jay Drew

Reduced to bone and teeth, I found this animal skull on the forest floor a little confronting at first. The pale form with dark voids for eyes seemed almost otherworldly. Pausing to consider my find, the peaceful environment in which it sat softened my initial reaction, and I found myself thinking about nature's cycle of return.

Shaped through organic textures and muted tones, Gaia reflects Linda’s interest in natural pattern, material presence and calm contemporary ceramic design — creating a quiet bridge between the earthly and the celestial.

Working from her home studio in the Wairarapa, Linda creates handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramic sculptures through layering, cutting and folding clay, revealing rich surface textures and a beautiful dialogue between material and form.
