ENTRY FEES: $25 ADMIN FEE per person, $5 per class entered (Duets/Pairs $5 per person)
ENTRIES DUE: Friday May 30th 2025
CUPS/TROPHIES: Cups/Trophies awarded at the 2024 Competitions must be cleaned, engraved, and
returned to 16 RHODES ST TIMARU, by Monday May 26th 2025. Cups returned after this date will incur a
$10 late fee. Cups lost or damaged are the full responsibility of the recipient.
READ ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS carefully before entering the competition.
SHEET MUSIC & DRAMATIC SELECTION COPIES for the adjudicator must be handed in 20 minutes before
class commences to the admin table in the lounge:
1. Each piece for individual classes must be separated.
2. Stapled, left hand top corner.
3. Labelled with competitor’s name, Class No., and competitor number clearly printed on the front.
4. Please ensure that Adjudicator copies are unmarked and without loose pages.
PRE-RECORDED ACCOMPANIMENTS/BACKING TRACKS are permitted in Vocal Classes except 33 - 35.
Each competitor should ensure that their music is a good quality recording, with NO backing vocals.
Instructions for uploading backing tracks for vocal classes will be sent with the competition programme.
ELIGIBILITY OF ENTRANTS: Participants who have received instruction from the Adjudicator within the
two-year period before the competition, excluding Seminars, Summer Schools, and Masterclasses, will be deemed ineligible to compete. The committee reserves the right to assess the eligibility of any entry and may choose to decline it. For inquiries regarding eligibility, please email the Competition Contact.
CLASS ORDER: The order of classes in this Syllabus will not be the order in the final programme. That will
be determined by the number of entries in each class and the times available.
FOLK SONG: A national song by an unknown composer and arranged by someone else.
ACCOMPANIST: There will be no accompanist provided. If you wish to use an accompanist you must organize this yourself. There will be a piano provided for use.
WARM-UP ROOM: There will be a warm-up room provided for competitors and accompanists.
REFRESHMENTS: There will be refreshments available for purchase. EFTPOS will be available.
PROGRAMME: All competitors will receive a programme by email. The programme will also be available for download or can be purchased in hardcopy on the day.
