Round 2 of the HOSS Winter Golf League is open — Cape Kidnappers is on the simulator and early scores are already in.

There's also a storyline developing. Shaun Rooney has led Round 1 from the front with a net 53 off a 24 handicap — but having now completed three competitive simulator rounds, his handicap drops to 3. The system has caught up with him, and the leaderboard behind him knows it.

Regan Powell sits second, holds the CTP on Hole 7, and Phil Lill and Darren Sullivan are right in the mix. With Shaun's handicap adjusting, this is genuinely anyone's competition.

Round 1 closes June 15. Round 2 closes June 22.
Best 9 of 10 rounds count — so one missed round or a tough day won't end your season.

Shane Edgar wins the Fast 8 trophy for the fourth time!

He was also the winner at our very first race night back in November 2023 — and he's been a consistent threat every time he races. Four Fast 8 titles tells its own story. Blair Gabites pushed hard all night and finished just 8 points back, with Korban Winter third.

Round 3 of the HOSS V8 Supercars Championship was shared at the top — Andrew Bruce and Shane Edgar each took a race win and split the round points. Blair Gabites was third for the round.

22 drivers on the grid across both series. Tight racing all night across three tiers with different experience levels.

Round 1 of the HOSS Winter Golf League is starting to tighten up, with 9 rounds now completed at Jasper Park Lodge.

Shaun Rooney still holds the lead with a net 53, but Regan Powell has jumped into 2nd with a strong opening round of 59.8 and now also holds the Closest to the Pin lead at just 3.3 metres on Hole 7.

Recent HOSS Masters Champion Phil Lill remains right in the hunt in 3rd, while reigning champion Darren Sullivan is currently sitting 4th as he looks to chase down another Green Jacket.

One thing already becoming clear is how much the new HOSS simulator handicap system is tightening the field up. As more rounds are completed and handicaps adjust across the winter, the leaderboard is likely to keep shifting.

And remember — Round 1 remains completely open to anyone wanting to get involved right through until June 10th, with every round in the Winter League running for around 3 weeks to give everyone plenty of time to get involved and compete.

Players also only count their best 9 of 10 rounds across the winter, so one bad round — or even missing a round — won’t ruin your season.

🏁 HOSS LEADERBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP — MAY UPDATE 🏁

Just under 2 weeks remain in this month’s qualifying leaderboards and things are starting to heat up across both combos.

Massive effort from everyone currently sitting inside the Top 10s — especially with how tight the gaps are becoming on both boards.

🧼 Clean Air Award — currently led by Blair Gabites with an impressive 89.2% clean lap rate across 84 total laps.
📈 Hard Charger Award — Dallas Redhead currently leads after climbing 17 combined positions compared to last month’s qualifying results.

For anyone new wondering how it works:

Each month features TWO separate qualifying leaderboards with different cars and tracks.
Your finishing position on EACH leaderboard determines which race tier you qualify for at Race Night:

• Fast 8 → Positions 1–8
• Tier 2 → Positions 9–16
• Tier 3 → Positions 17–24 (when applicable)

Race Nights are where Championship points are actually earned — not qualifying itself.

The cool part is both leaderboards stand independently, so you can end up in completely different tiers across the two combos depending on your performance.

The HOSS Leaderboard Championship is members only, with monthly race nights running all year and a $3,000 end-of-year payout spread across the championship standings.

If you’re not a member yet and want to jump in:

• Complete laps on either monthly combo
• Climb the leaderboards and qualify for Race Night
