Inhabiting an 1896 building towards the North end of historic Thames, on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island, the building that now houses Bounty was once the first boot maker's store in Thames. Today, Bounty is a contemporary design store and gallery showcasing art, craft and the handmade, with a distinct Anglo-Pacific flavour. We stock a wide range of New Zealand made and loca

l artworks including jewellery, pottery, painting, glass, textile, sculpture, tapa and many other gift items. Visiting Bounty reminds you that we are truly a Pacific nation, come and see us and enjoy selecting a work of art that you will treasure.

Step into a geologist’s paradise at our newly refreshed Mineralogical Museum.

Home to one of the largest collections in the Southern Hemisphere, the museum features over 3,500 specimens of rocks, minerals, and fossils from New Zealand and around the world, collected since 1870.

✨ We've moved back on site and given the Mineral Museum an exciting makeover. The space now includes our ticketing office and museum shop, all wrapped in a freshly revived, vibrant 1950s-inspired pastel colour scheme.
