We are bringing Shakespeare back to the Te Puna Quarry Amphitheatre for a third season in February 2026. Summer Shakespeare Tauranga is a not-for-profit organization whose aim is to bring you the best of the William Shakespeare's plays every summer, making the most of beautiful outdoor locations in the Bay of Plenty. Summer Shakespeare Tauranga was founded in 2015 by a group of four seasoned actor

s passionate about Shakespeare and outdoor theatre. We have gathered together a passionate, experienced team of thespians who work collectively to deliver exceptionally entertaining Shakespeare plays for your enjoyment. In 2015 our team were involved in producing, directing and acting in the successful local production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Te Puna Quarry Park. After many successful seasons, in 2019 Summer Shakespeare Tauranga Trust was formed as a registered Charity to better look after our community.

🌟✨ “You will be encouraged to audition for your first ever Summer Shakespeare production, and it’s very important that you do!” 🎭

What an incredible journey we’ve had with As You Like It! Closing night wrapped up an epic run of 9 shows filled with laughter, challenges, and unforgettable memories. From weather woes and location changes to car accidents and selling out of food, we faced it all together. 💪

Through it all, we celebrated birthdays, forged new friendships, and truly came together as a team. A massive thank you to everyone who made the 2026 season a success!

Can’t wait to dive into A Midsummer Night’s Dream next year! 🌙💖
