The camera doesnโt lie. But it does choose sides.
Photographer, writer, operator of many levers, Simon Shattky is less interested in the obvious shot and more in what sits just off to the edge of it. Youโll recognise his eye from pages of BayBuzz where image and text work together, each sharpening the other.
His practice moves between storytelling and observation, often landing somewhere wry, human, and quietly exacting. His approach? Not everything needs to be overworked or over-explained. As heโs written elsewhere, sometimes the smartest move is knowing when to stop talking.
Because the first glance rarely tells the whole story.
