Nau mai, haere mai ki Rangiwaea Marae ki te whakanui i a Matariki. Join our hapori as we come together in the spirit of whanaungatanga to honour the Māori New Year. This year, we are fortunate enough to have Whaea Rina from Ngapeke Permaculture speak about maara kai and the significance it has with Matariki.

Ferry leaves at 10am on Friday and will return Saturday at 11am.

Kia ora te whanau. We are heading into the busy season for our marae and moutere. Please see the poster for our upcoming events and a reminder about the marae use during the Christmas Period.

As Kirihimete is fast approaching, Rangiwaea Marae welcomes all whānau to come home, connect, and share the space together. Please note that we do not take any bookings over this time — the marae is open for collective whānau use. We kindly ask that you notify the haukāinga of how many people will be coming and how long you intend to stay. As our marae operates on limited resources, please be mindful of your rāpihi, the shared facilities, and other whānau who may also be using the marae. Let’s all work together to ensure a respectful and enjoyable time for everyone.

It's been a minute, whanau!!😜

Behind the scenes, we have been working on ways to improve our current booking system for the marae. A system which is more efficient and tidy to track. As a result, we have made a booking form to help mitigate that problem.

The booking form will require you to fill out as much information as possible about your stay. This includes duration of your stay, number of whanau, your kaupapa etc. Once the form is filled out, you will receive an email once your stay has been reviewed by the committee. Please note: your booking is not confirmed until a deposit is paid. As with anything new, we are always tweaking and improving, so there may be some changes along the way.

A QR code has also been generated for the booking form as well.
