Five years ago, Shyla made the move from Morrinsville to the Bay (their loss, our gain) in search of a career that she could build a future in, and one she would genuinely enjoy.
She joined Baytex initially learning to weld before re-learning how to sew on an industrial sewing machine. From day one, she asked plenty of questions, was eager to learn and embraced every opportunity that came her way. Her enthusiasm and dedication led to Baytex offering her an apprenticeship, where she continued to grow her skills and knowledge.
When Ray stepped into a Sales role at Baytex, Shyla took on the Supervisor position temporarily. She did such an outstanding job that the 'temporary' role soon became permanent!
Today, Shyla has made the role her own. She has built fantastic relationships across the team, working easily with people of all ages.
We are incredibly proud to have Shyla as part of the Baytex team 🙌
