Auē seems the family of Hiraina Marsden are claiming the IP of the Tino Rangatiratanga Kara for themselves….
Seemingly forgetting the mahi done by Jan Dobson and the rest of Te Kawariki
Yes Hiraina scribbled something down, but it didn’t look like anything like the Kara we have today, Tino Rangatiratanga is the kaupapa still carried on by Te Kawariki members.
If it wasn’t for Jan and Hilda who pushed for the flag it would not exist as the symbol for Māori, so Hiraina might have scribbled something first but I finished it (with Jan and I making the first first flags flying at Waitangi 1990)and we have whanau who can and will attest to it, so bring it Marsdens, what have you done to strengthen the kaupapa and contribute to making the lives of our people better, religion doesn’t count. They see Tino Rangatiratanga as a profit turning machine while they sit on their arse and raking in a passive income, while everyone else does the work…..
Yeah bring it, let’s go to a tauiwi court, hope your ready for all the kaka coming, Tupato……
