It’s Butterfly Bingo in the Artist Studio with Int'l Face Painting School & the first stamp on my card had to go to this gorgeous design by the Queen of Butterflies Nat’s Fancy Faces Corporate Events 😍👸🦋

I have always hugely admired Natalee’s work. My brain can’t quite unwind all of the steps. But this is the closest I’ve come to replicating one of her iconic designs. Swipe to see the original mastery, and follow / ❤️ her designs.

I’m definitely keen to explore this style more and see what I can achieve on the job.

Now who to choose next from my bingo card…

You’ll find I’m not posting as much OTJ content these days. There are a few reasons for this…

1. I don’t feel comfortable putting kids faces on social media, if I do choose to showcase a design I always ask for eyes closed or partially obscure the face
2. I get so into painting OTJ and interacting with the kids, I often choose to just absorb the mirror moments myself without picking up my phone
3. I get too internally conflicted with wanting to photograph some of my favourite paints with point 1 that I can’t get the words out to ask.

But I know how much I love to look at face paints IRL so I’ve turned a few of my favourite recent practice paints into real life paints with the use of AI. Swipe to check them out ➡️

I feel like this is a nice balance of privacy vs art. You can see it keeps the flaws in my work, and doesn’t curve to the face in the same way a painted design would but I think it’s still pretty cool.

I know there’s a huge debate on AI and its uses. But as a small business owner (this is my full time career) as well as being a SAHM and homeschooling our autistic 7yo, I use AI where it can help my business grow and minimise administrative burdens that I just don’t have time to commit my limited time & energy to.

That being said, you’ll only ever see my real art alongside any AI use of it. Full transparency. No BS!

Yikes that turned into a long post 🤣 But if you read to the end I’d love to here your thoughts… ⬇️

Deep diving into butterflies with Simona Strete - Rad Int'l Face Painting School Before and After. Looking at a butterfly I did shortly before completing the Pro Course to a similar one today.

I really do love the contrast of the bright neon base with the gorgeous deep turquoise from Nat’s Fancy Faces Corporate Events one stroke range.
