It’s Cervical Screening Month, e te iwi! 💙

For all our wāhine and people with a cervix, here's your little reminder to check when you last had your cervical screening.

Keeping up with your screening is one of those small things you can do to look after your hauora. It can pick up changes early, before they have the chance to develop into cervical cancer - and with the HPV self-test option, getting it done is now pretty quick, easy and private. So, if yours is due (or maybe a little overdue 👀), pop in and see our clinic team. We’ll get you sorted.

Just a heads up that our Hauora Clinic will be closed from 1pm this coming Monday and all day Tuesday, while our clinic team head away for some training and learning.
All clinic services will be unavailable during this time, but we’ll be back on Wednesday, open as normal.

Influenza has been making the rounds across the country lately, and cases are on the rise! So, if you or your whānau are feeling a bit māuiui and the bugs have hit your whare, pop in and see our nurses. They can help with your symptoms, have a kōrero about any concerns, or get you sorted with a free flu immunisation.

Te Whatu Ora’s Online GP service is another awesome option for whānau with sick tamariki. You can skip the trip out and have a kōrero with a NZ-qualified doctor by video, right from home. Appointments are FREE for tamariki aged 13 and under, with subsidised appointments also available for rangatahi aged 14–17 and Community Services Card holders.

We just wanted to send a PĪĪĪĪKI mihi out to our mates at AvaNiu Pasifika!

For the last few months, they've very generously lent our clinic crew Vera the Van, helping our team to continue doing their mahi while our usual clinic space has been unavailable. It's made a huge difference and we are so grateful for the awhi 🫶🫶
