It's audition time at Detour Theatre!
We are so excited to announce our next show, The Game's Afoot written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Kim Williamson.
The Game's Afoot is a hilarious comedy set in 1936, centred around William Gillette, an actor who made his name playing Sherlock Holmes! He invites his friends to his mansion for Christmas where there is, of course, a murder!
The Game’s Afoot is a fast-paced comedy mystery with razor sharp dialogue and larger than life characters.

There are eight characters, 5 female roles and 3 male roles.
-William Gillette (Sherlock): (late 40’s-mid 50’s, male) American accent.
-Martha Gillette: (late 60’s to late 70’s, female)
-Felix Geisel (Moriarty): (mid 40’s- mid 50’s, male)
-Madge Geisel (Marian): (mid 40’s – mid 50’s, female)
-Aggie Wheeler (Alice): (mid to late 20’s, female)
-Simon Bright (Zerlinsky): (late 20’s- early 30’s, male)
-Daria Chase: (late 40’s -late 50’s, female) American accent.
-Inspector Goring: (mid 40’s -mid 50’s, female) British accent
Rehearsals will be late Sunday afternoons and two weeknights.

Auditions are by appointment with the director (Kim Williamson) and will be held at the Detour Theatre between now and the 29th of August.

Please indicate the character/s you would like to audition for and a suitable audition day/time. Auditions will consist of a reading from the script with the director.
