Hi all
Don't forget our meeting this Sunday 30th of August.

FRONTIERSMEN HALL, 165 Elizabeth Street, Tauranga (at foot of the Street, near the Flag Roundabout). 1pm to 4 pm.

Bring those bonsai that still need repotting- plus tools and potting mix. Innes will be giving a demonstration with one of his trees on repotting techniques and will be there to help if required.

Display table will be bonsai in late winter.

Please remember the Door fee of $4.00 per person. First time visit is free. A small plate contributing to the afternoon tea would be welcome. See you there. 😀

A great meeting yesterday. The AGM went well. Thank you Selwyn for visiting the club and your talk on matching bonsai pots to trees was very helpful.

Hi all
Don’t forget our meeting this Sunday 26th of July.

FRONTIERSMEN HALL, 165 Elizabeth Street, Tauranga (at foot of the Street, near the Flag Roundabout). 1 pm to 4 pm.

First up will be the club's Annual General Meeting followed by a presentation from our guest speaker - Selwyn Hatrick, owner of Geyser Pots Rotorua. He will be talking about selecting the right pot for a specific tree. He will also have a selection of pots to purchase.

Display table will be bonsai in mid-winter.

TRADE and SALES DAY: This is your opportunity to buy or sell everything and anything bonsai – trees, tools, pots, books etc. A good time for a clean out of your excess or redundant pieces. I'm hearing there should be a number of trees for sales, some with good age.

We had a great day yesterday. Hamilton Club joined some of our members on a tour of four collections. Thanks to all those who welcomed us to their homes.

It’s next weekend guys.

This June I’ll be doing a demonstration on a cool black pine! And have about 4 trees in this show- These shows are a lot of work to put on and need support. We need these shows in New Zealand as they provide a great learning experience for new people and experienced alike. So come along , say hello and see if your a bigger bonsai nerd then me!

What a great meeting today. Thank you so much Sandra for sharing your expertise with us. We all enjoyed your presentation on NZ native shohin and mame and your critique of members trees gave us plenty of ideas on developing them further. Great day - enjoyed by all.
