I finally got around to getting verified on Google Business. I appreciate all of my clients past and present. If you recorded anything at my studio, I would really appreciate a review. ⭐ Rates: $55 per hour for recording, mixing with engineer; $45 per hour teen/student rates; $40 for kids 12 & under; $35 per hour for DIY mixing / studio rental (you provide laptop, we provide studio space, mics, midi keyboards, monitors)

⭐ Perfect for singer/songwriters, folk, country, acoustic, electronic, World, soloists, duets, trios. We can also mix drums that you've recorded elsewhere.

Mockingbird Music Studios is now renting out our studio space in Papamoa, Tauranga for just $35 per hour! You bring your own laptop with recording software and instruments, and we provide the recording interface, monitors, microphones, and acoustically treated recording space. Do your own recording and mixing for just $35 an hour. (Or hire our engineer to mix it for you for just $50 an hour). Get in touch with us today to start your next project! Exciting news! Mockingbird Studios was approached by Penguin Random House Publishing to record Lynley Dodd herself narrating all 30+ of her books, including her famous Hairy Maclary series!

It was an honor to work with Dame Lynley Dodd, who is so down to earth, witty, and passionate about children's education and imagination. We are honored that she and Penguin Random House chose our little studio to record her reciting her life's work!

Our little studio is thrilled to be recording the audio books for an internationally beloved, best-selling children's author! 🥳😃 We can't divulge yet who it is, but once we get the green light, we will be sharing more about the project and who the author is in the coming months! We are so excited to be part of this project that will enshrine these timeless children's tales on audio for decades to come!

Today was a great day in the studio when we welcomed an actress from Europe to record a voiceover track for a major tech company's TV commercial. Lucky we have an awesome Lewitt 440 Pure mic, which is superb for spoken word projects like ads, audio books, and more. We do more than music here at Mockingbird Music Studios ! As Mockingbird Music Studios wraps up 2022, we want to thank all of our amazing clients. Our little studio opened in April 2021, and since then we've had the most amazing clients! Most recently, we welcome Mara TK who is producing a special project with important historical significance to New Zealand. What an honour!

We also helped several local artists launch their albums and EPs - Hector Ross, Terapia Sonica, and John Ferguson Music, with more on the way from other artists in 2023. Mockingbird owner and chief engineer Melissa Cox has her single "Permission" coming out in February 2023 - follow her page to see her epic music video soon! We also welcomed two voice-over actors, one for a major commercial, and another for an A.I. gaming voiceover software company!

We've upgraded our hardware and software in the studio this year, adding the awesome Lewitt 440 Pure mic, which is absolutely killer on vocals, and some truly beautiful plugins for our in-the-box digital console.
