All in and wanting a new hobby? Our next set of wheel courses are coming up at the end of September! These are 2 hours a week for 6 weeks (5th week off whilst your creations are fired) to really get you up and running.

Kia ora koutou! A quick post to introduce ourselves as the new owners of The Pottery Studio. We are Ella (far left) & Rosie (not so far left). We’ve been lucky enough to live in Aotearoa for 3 years and thought combining our (very) amateur ceramics hobby with work sounded like a great opportunity. Outside of the studio we both work in healthcare so creative outlets have always been important to us. If you see us around the studio please say hi! We’re excited to get stuck in.

We have however got some very big boots to fill! We want to say a huge thank you to Penny and Ray who have made the studio what it is, building it from the odd pottery workshop to now a busy and welcoming space in its new home on Tenth Avenue. A space where you can come have a laugh, get creative and/or get good at ceramics (the latter is very much optional!).

Anyone who has been at the studio will likely recognise Penny as the hilarious (and at times brutally honest), talented potter and teacher, with Ray, the other half of the mastermind double act working away behind the scenes. Then finally a huge thanks to Tasha who’s been in charge of the socials and keeping Ray and Penny in line these last few years! We’re super grateful for their wisdom and support whilst we navigate this new challenge. Don’t worry though you can still expect Penny to still show up and tell you your creation is crap for a while yet.
