Dear friends, family, and fellow creatives, after a period of introspection, I'm reigniting my passion for music and reconnecting with the community. With 2026 comes a renewed commitment to prioritize live performances, and I'm thrilled to be kicking things off in the top of the south with old friends and collaborators. Expect exciting gigs and new music on the horizon, so stay tuned. Join me at the Dogs Bone in Nelson on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 6 pm, for a special duo set with Tino of Vortex Architects. We'll share new tracks from Tino's upcoming projects and my latest album 'Open Door', available now on Spotify and YouTube. If you're in the area, come hang out and soak up the relaxed vibe – it's going to be a great time.

My 1984 Maton acoustic,I purchased her in Cairns Australia from Andy Collins of the (The Baron River Drifters),who I was playing bass for at the time,I think I paid about $500.00 for her at the time, has been my favorite acoustic ever since, even though she,s battle scared, is still my favorite. A few years ago I refretted her with stainless steal frets,as im pretty hard on her with my bass players touch,I was always a bit tentative of letting other people play her at jam sessions, as they would enjoy it so much it was hard to get her off them, shes definitely Soul Sister number one for me

My next recording project will be something rootsy and acoustic, not sure what exactly that will be but at least I have my apropriate toys lined up,its a start anyways,a thought I had was vocals with no words as a concept, sometimes word meanings can detract from the music, worth a look at anyway

Ive just come up with a new marketing strategy for my album (open door) I ask if they have a CD player in their car and if they say yes I give them a free copy, they often leave it on auto play and likely know the words better than me next time I see them,ha big ups to Sue and Corben ahttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5619698814810249&id=100003105581769&mibextid=Nif5oz
