Grab your pink, practice your very best bend and snap, and get ready for the Village Theatre's 25th anniversary screening of Legally Blonde (PG).
On Saturday 4th July at 7:30pm we are having a Special Event at the theatre. This will include much pink, a prize draw and some wonderful comedy!

Heads up, we have a bunch of Special Events coming up at the Village Theatre over the next couple of weeks.

On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June we have the TeensTheatre live production of Charles Dickens Christmas Carol. You can buy tickets for these via https://events.humanitix.com/a-christmas-carol-6mku8n48

This Sunday 21st June at 4pm we have our next Classic Cinema film Days of Heaven (PG) (1978). Come see this Oscar winning period drama.

On the next program we have a special 25th Anniversary screening of Legally Blonde (PG) (2001) on Saturday 4th July at 7:30pm. Dress up in your best pink, grab your BFF's and come for a most fun ever because "being true to yourself never goes out of style". Tickets go live on our website this week!

And for those Fifa Men's World Cup watchers, our Live Quarter Final screening is on Sunday July 12th @ 1pm (doors open 12.30pm).

Plus we have encore screenings this weekend of Sheep Detectives (PG) on Friday at 4pm, and Caterpillar (M) on Saturday at 4pm too.

Wow! Did you get to catch any of the wonderful French Film Festival Films from the last 2 weeks? So many wonderful films. What was your favourites? We will be screening Couture (M) again due to the power cut. We will post details once a new date has been sorted. And there is a possibility of encoring selected films too. Was there something you missed that you wanted to see?

This week we have some exciting new films, the finals of some and some excellent celebrations of films too.

Today/Friday we have the 25th anniversary celebration screening of Shrek (PG) at 4pm. And at 7:30pm we have our first screening of The Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (M). Come dressed as your favourite Star Wars character, there will be spot prizes!

On Saturday we have new film The Christophers (M) at 4pm about a forger hired by the estranged children of a once-famous artist to complete his unfinished works so they can be "discovered" and sold after his death. And at 7:30pm we have the Final screening of the Jodie Foster drama A Private Life (M). A psychiatrist mounts her own investigation into the death of one of her patients, whom she is convinced has been murdered. This is French with subtitles.

On Sunday afternoon at 4pm we have our next Classic Cinema film, The Portrait of a Lady (PG) (1996) directed by Kiwi Dame Jane Champion. And at 7:30pm on Sunday we have the Final screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 (M).

Looking ahead we have encore screenings of The Sheep Detectives (PG), and Caterpillar (M). We have another Classic Cinema film this program, Days of Heaven (1978) and more fun family films are being released like Minions and Monsters (PG) and the once only screening of Masters of the Universe (M).

This Friday we also have the 25th Anniversary screening of Shrek (PG) at 4pm! Woot! Has it really been that long??!!
Come to our Family Fun Film on Friday! There will be some spot prizes to celebrate Shrek now being 25 years old! Come dressed up too!

If you were at last night's French Film Festival screening of Couture when the power went out we will be screening this again. Just need to confirm when. You can use your film credit for any of this weekends Festival movies instead. Just chat to our staff about it when you turn up.

It's Week Two of the French Film Festival Aotearoa! Another lovely collection of fantastic drama's, thrillers, documentary or true stories. They are only screening once, so see them now before they are gone!
And check out some of the coming soon films. We have 2 Special Events, the FIFA Men's World Club kicks off at 7am 12th June. And at 7:30pm on the 12th we have our premiere screening of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (M). Start planning a costume now!
