If you know someone in this age bracket, have a chat and help them enrol.

It's important our young people are ready to vote in the local elections.

📣We've got approx 752 eligible voters aged 18 - 24 years in our district, BUT look at these stats!

❌That's about 361, 18 - 24 year olds, who are NOT enrolled to vote.

🤔361 people who are impacted by the decisions this Council makes, but are not in a position to have their say on who represents them in those decisions going forward.

💬If you know someone within this age bracket, have a chat with them. Ask them if they're on the right side of these stats, and if they're not, help them to enrol.

✔️It's easy to do it online at Vote.nz

📬Everyone enrolled by 1 August will get their voting papers mailed to them. You can still enrol after that date, but you'll need to do a special vote.

☁️ 💨🍿 POSTPONED Saturday’s Summer Nights Movies in Victoria Park!

Winds in excess of 20km per hour have been forecast for Saturday. Putting aside any issues with your popcorn blowing away, winds of that nature would be pretty uncomfortable and would affect your ability to hear the movies, so we’ve made the tough decision to postpone.

🎥 Our new date for the Summer Nights Movies will be Sunday 2 February, starting at the earlier time of 3pm because it's a school night (parents, we got ya). See you then!
