Dale wraps up Tasman’s big third day at the NZ Champs with a strong 10th place finish in the SM high jump.

He didnt quite to the level he was after, but got great experience jumping alongside Olympic Champ Hamish Kerr under the lights during Track Stars.

Fresh off his high jump gold medal from day 2, Marlin placed 5th in his secondary event - the U18 110m hurdles on day 3 of nationals.

Great work Marlin!

Continuing on from our day 3 Nationals wrap up - Josh finished a solid 4th in the U18 200m final, but unfortunately pulled up sore and had to scratch from the 400m. He doesn’t go home empty handed though, having won a gold medal in the long jump on day one.

It was another big day for Tasman at the NZ Track & Field Championships! 👇(Post 1/4)

Noah started us off with a pb of 1.56.11 in the heat of the SM 800m. He finished 7th in his heat so unfortunately did not progress to the final, but had a strong first showing in the senior ranks. Congratulations Noah 🎉

Have you ever seen a more beautifully raked long jump pit?? That’s the work of our Don (da Vinci?) at Nationals! Not only are our athletes doing us proud in Auckland this weekend, but our incredible officials are too 🧡💚

The NZ Track and Field Championships are off to a flying start - with James Hansen winning the bronze medal in the SM 400m Hurdles, just hours after Josh wins gold in the U18 men’s long jump!

James has been recovering from injury so hasn’t raced in 3 months, and only just put spikes on for the first time this week. A bronze is impressive enough as it is, but considering his less than ideal build-up, that’s an absolutely incredible accomplishment.

Congratulations James!
