A little reminder that artists rarely work on just one thing at a time!
I started this painting back in April, and although it's still not finished, that doesn't mean I've stopped creating. Behind the scenes, I've been making jewellery, working as an archive intern, researching for another creative project, and saying yes to new opportunities along the way.
Art isn't always a straight line from start to finish. Sometimes one project needs to rest while another takes shape. Creativity flows between different ideas, mediums, and experiences, with each one feeding into the next.
So here's a little process photo of this painting that's still a work in progress. It's a reminder that creating isn't about rushing, it's about balancing many projects, following inspiration, and trusting that each piece will be completed in its own time.
The artist's life is often a juggling act, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!
