Hey all, it’s been a while!

January was an absolute roller coaster of a month, however, we were able to end it on a high note, with the closing of our very well recieved All Creatures exhibition, and with some very exciting new developments!

After a fantastic period of growth and expansion at Lakes Performing Arts Centre, we have now spread our wings and flown the nest!
You will now find our ever popular afterschool art classes at The Arts Village!

I am so grateful for the time spent at LPAC, and eternally appreciative of the love and support from Tash, Krystle, Dennis and the LPAC family, I’m looking forward to seeing the developments ahead for you guys too! 🎭

Also incredibly grateful to Kellez, Sheree,Jane, and Tyler and all the other wonderful Village people for making this all happen, and making transition so smooth, I am so, so excited for all the creative magic that’s about to happen! 🎨✨

We will be here tomorrow with our very clever Kahlo Me Inspired students. They've been working on their wares all term, and have some very cool stuff to sell, so please pop down and support them if youre able.

It's all on āpōpō e te iwi - Christmas in the Gardens is going ahead!

Some things to be aware of:

The roads will be closed off to normal traffic, so if you are a stall holder be sure to let the team know so you can get to your site safely, once you are set up you will be able to find you a park nice and easy as the parade will not start till 11am.

Be kind to everyone trying to deliver this community collaboration we are all doing this for you :)

Its taken a minute, but we're really excited to finally be able to invite you all to our All Creatures student pop up exhibition at Sir Howard Morrison Centre, running 11 - 13 December in conjunction with the Lakes Performing Arts Centre End of Year Showcase.
Inspired by Dr Seusses Unorthodox Taxidermy, these fantastical creatures (created by art students from ages 8 - adult), from many found, repurposed and recycled materials are sure to delight.
Make sure to stop by and check it out on the mezzanine floor during open hours.
