A wedding...that moment you stand beside your true love and before all who mean the world to you, to declare your commitment to share your life, the highs and the lows, the laughter and the tears. The ceremony will look different for everyone, what is important for one couple may not be for another. I am happy to work with you to make sure that your ceremony is perfect

for you both. Being appointed a Marriage Celebrant only recently means I am quite new to the process so while this experience is new to you...it is to me too. This also means that I have no preconceived ideas around how things should be, there is no wrong...just different. I can wholly commit to doing my best for achieving the outcome you are after Living south of Rotorua I am happy to discuss travel if you are a little further away. I can be flexible with times and days but if you are thinking of a reckless, jumping out of a plane kinda ceremony then I am not your girl ;) Whoever you choose to help you become your Mrs and Mr, Mr and Mr or Mrs and Mrs I truly hope that the day and the years ahead are all that you hope for. My piece of marriage advise for all would be to maintain your marriage. Just like a car or a lawn mower, expecting things to work just because you had it from brand new isn’t always going to be advantageous to a successful outcome. So enjoy the ‘maintenance’ moments that lie ahead, laugh, love, learn and compromise together, forever is a beautiful thing.

I was so looking forward to being the celebrant for this lovely couple as I couldn't wait to see his expression when his wife to be described him as 'the hottest stone in the hangi pit!'. Unfortunately, an unexpected lengthy stay in hospital for me meant that I had to call on the services of Helene Nicholson to be my stand in Celebrant.

I am pretty certain that by the beautiful expressions on the happy couples faces that Helene did a fantastic job and he was more than happy 'being the hottest stone'.

Helene is a great celebrant and also knows her way around the mountain biking oiptions well. Perfect for those adventurous couples wanting something a little different

Oh my gosh!
Today was my 37th wedding, so I've not a crazy amount under my belt, but I have seen my fair share to not be too surprised by any happenings.....
...until today.

Not a flower girl in sight but an enthusiastic pair of race car drivers complete with full driving kit and helmets. Dancing to Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back, throwing petals from their cardboard race cars that they not only made, but were wearing.

It was hilarious! Hopefully there will be photos to share in due course because today was gold!

An autumnal wedding today for A + J at a venue I last visited in the 80's as a school kid on camp.

Okataina Outdoor Education & Recreation Trust is a great option for those who love the beauty of the native bush and would like a one stop venue. The spot they have chosen is like a bush cathedral, its gorgeous.

Its going to be a day, that rolls well into the evening, of celebration today.
