KIDS HOLIDAY & ART CLASSES - Age 7+ - 9.30am - 12.30pm $32 per child - maximum of 6 kids per class - call/message Helen to book on 027 539 0055. Classes are 3hrs, which can be a challenge for some children, so please bear this in mind before booking.

*KIDS TERM TIME ART CLASSES*

Small art classes where we explore the wonder of art - drawing & observation skills & working in various mediums. These classes are mainly teacher led but children are welcome to put their own spin on things with the materials provided. This means the childrens art work will be their version of awesome, not yours or mine. 50% payment for the term is due on booking & 50% due at the first class.

TERM 1 2024 - $144 for 7 weeks - dates to be confirmed
Mondays 3.30 - 4.30pm Age 7-10/11
Tuesdays 3.30 - 4.30pm Age 7-10/11

If there is enough interest I will add an extra class for age 11+

KIDS PAINT PARTIES - Great for birthday parties, at your place or mine or a venue of your choice. Cost is $45 per child, maximum of 8 children at The Art Shed but more if at a venue. Minimum charge $200. Duration between 1.5-2hours.

Oh my, this takes me back. Tony Hart and his art programmes were my absolute fave when I was wee, growing up in Scotland. I can still remember the theme tune. A few days ago I was trying to explain to my art students what life was like before Pintrest and Google. Tony Hart was my art inspo along with some real life and books! Was Tony Hart a thing in NZ?

Love colour! ❤💜 💛 The age 6-9 class did some colour mixing today using just the 3 primary colours, red, blue & yellow. Then we added some white to see how many different colours we could make. It's all about play. Some kids were worried their parents wouldn't like what they'd done 😪 as it wasn't 'a picture' but play and experimenting are soooo important. Working on the process not the outcome.

Some art from T3, age 9-12 class. We spent some time sketching, making marks, tonal values and using different pencils HB through to 6B and some used charcoal pencils. The results were pretty amazing don't you think? I must make more of an effort to post their great work on here!
