Chipmunks Rangiora is looking for a confident, people‑focused Team Leader to join our growing crew!

We’re a new business, and like any new operation, we’re still building our systems, routines, and standards. We’re not pretending everything is perfect, but we’re committed, improving every week, and looking for someone who’s excited to be part of that growth.

What the role involves
Working alongside the owners/managers to help guide and support staff

Helping maintain and lift standards across the café and playground

Leading with confidence, positivity, and clear communication

Taking charge during busy weekend shifts (this is where most hours will be)

Assisting with opening/closing duties during the week when managers are off‑site

Covering weekday shifts when available

What we’re looking for
Someone great with people , customers AND staff

A natural leader who can stay calm, organised, and supportive

Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, family‑friendly environment

A team player who’s happy to jump in wherever needed

Reliable, confident, and ready to grow with us as we build the business

Chipmunks Rangiora is on the lookout for an experienced, confident barista to join our busy weekend team.

Our Saturdays and Sundays are full‑on, fast‑paced, and buzzing, so we need someone who can keep calm under pressure, deliver consistent, high‑quality coffee, and bring a great personality to our family‑friendly environment.

What we’re offering

Locked‑in part‑time hours every Saturday & Sunday

Additional weekday shifts when managers are off‑site, for someone who can step up confidently

A fun, supportive team, we’re all new and learning together

A chance to help shape our café standards as we grow

What we’re looking for

Strong barista experience , you know your way around quality coffee

Someone who thrives in a busy, high‑energy environment

A team player who communicates well and jumps in where needed

Brax had our opening date, time AND address memorised, he’s been counting down for ages! Charlie had a feeling someone very special was coming today, so he made sure he was there to meet this awesome young man! 🤩✨

Due to a large booking on Monday morning, our free coffee with toddler entry will run on Tuesday only this week.

You’re still more than welcome to come and play on Monday , the usual toddler session will be open , but the coffee deal will resume on Tuesday.
